SECRETS TO CLEAN BEDROOM YOU MAY NOT KNOW (PART I)

We spend about a third of our lives on our mattresses. So this is a household item you should be careful to keep clean. Regular mattress cleaning can help reduce allergens in your bedroom and keep your mattress new for years. It is important to clean up any contaminants as soon as possible. It will prevent stains or mold from growing. But the good news is that cleaning your mattress is not that difficult and you can do it with some basic cleaning tools and materials.

1. Remove pillows and ornaments from the bed

Before you can clean the mattress, you must remove everything that covers it. Start by peeling off the top layer of pillows, pillows, blankets and other objects.

When you remove the sleeping pillows, remove the pillow covers and throw them into the laundry basket.

Fold blankets and move items from the bed to another part of the room for you to clean.

3. Wash everything after being removed from the bed

Once everything has been stripped off the bed and the mattress is empty, you can begin the cleaning process. Wash sheets, blankets and pillowcases in the washing machine while the mattress is being cleaned. That way, you get a whole new bed.

Read and follow its instructions when washing any type of fabric. Set the dryer and water as hot as possible to kill any bacteria or dust mites that might hide in your sheets.

6. Clean the stain

Another great cleaning tip is as follows:

• Mix 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of hydrogen peroxide and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of dishwashing soap in a small bowl. Use a spoon to stir them together and create bubbles. Dip an old toothbrush into the solution foam. Gently rub them into the dirty areas of the mattress. Wipe off excess detergent with a clean, damp cloth.

• For foam mattresses, use only the smallest amount of detergent possible. This solution will be effective to handle stains from dirt, food, and beverages.
